Hair Care Tips
Before Your Install
Before you install your bundles, shampoo them 2x and condition 1x for the best results. When you rinse out the conditioner, rinse until there are no suds left.
Rinsing conditioner out completely is one of the most important steps. If you do not rinse it well, any residue left in the hair can result in stiff and dull hair.
Let your bundles hang dry or lay flat to air dry. Once fully dry, you are ready to install.
Washing & Products
- Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner (sulfates are extremely drying).
- Use moisturizing and hydrating products.
- Use shampoos with oils like argan oil, moroccan oil, or keratin oil.
- Treat this hair like your own. Deep condition your virgin hair once per week, but avoid heavy oils or product buildup.
Daily + Night Routine
We advise that you comb your hair every morning. Gently brush starting from the ends and work your way up toward your scalp. Starting from the ends keeps pressure off the weft area and helps maintain longevity.
Before going to bed: brush to remove tangles. Braid into a couple of big braids, wrap your hair, or tie it into a ponytail; then cover with a satin scarf/bonnet or use a silk pillowcase.
Never sleep on wet hair: sleeping on wet hair can matte the hair and makes it difficult to maintain. Always make sure the hair is completely dry before bed.
Coloring Tips
If you are not familiar with coloring hair, take extensions to a professional colorist. Over-processing with bleach or dye can ruin the hair. Always let a licensed professional color your bundles—even for a simple rinse. Don’t do it yourself.
Curly Hair Maintenance
For best results (Deep Wave): co-wash with cool water. Co-washing means washing with conditioner (no shampoo). Use a cleansing conditioner, rinse with cool water, then lay flat to air dry before installing. Hot or warm water can loosen the curl pattern.
Curly texture: it’s mandatory to apply a curl defining/curl control cream while the hair is wet. This prevents frizz, locks in the curl pattern, and gives a soft, tamed look as it dries. Curly hair requires the most upkeep and should be refreshed with water daily before applying curl cream.
